Motu Patlu is a popular Indian-Singaporean sitcom based on the animated charters. It goes on air through Nickelodeon and Vasantham that are Indian and Tamil commercial broadcasting televisions. The original idea of the play has been depicted from “Lot pot” related to a comic strip back in 2012. The play revolves around two prominent comic characters Motu and Patlu who are spending their life in a fictional city named Furfuri Nagar.
There are different people behind the success of the Sitcom for instance; director Suhas Kadav and the music has been composed by Sandesh Shandilya. Production of the play takes into account the Deepa Sahi and Anish JS Mehta. The drama doubles its charms when coupled with the theme music of Motu Aur Patlu Ki Jodi" sung by renowned Sukhwinder Singh.
The story highlights different twists and turns into Motu and Patlu cartoon. Motu as the names suggests is a food lover and Samosa is his favorite food. He often makes an attempt to steal samosas from a tea stall famous for making the best samosas in town. He is seen wearing a red tunic all the time and a blue vest. The best thing about Motu is that he is very caring and makes possible efforts to help people whenever he can. Eating samosas makes him more energetic and can fight with anywhere in the world.

On the other hand, Patlu, as the names signifies, shows a thin and full character. He is slimmest and smartest guy in the town. There are situations when both Motu and Patlu are in trouble. It has been beautifully featured that how they get out of the troubles by helping each other and move forward. Patlu usually advices Motu to be on a right track in order to avoid hardships. There is also a dissymmetry in their habits because Patlu likes to read newspapers and wear different colors compared to Motu.
