The cartoon has been the favorite of kids since ages and Motu Patlu has created a niche for themselves among cartoon lovers. This cartoon revolves around two characters named Motu and Patlu. They both are good friends who live in a fictional place called Furfuri Nagar.

Motu is very fond of samosas, which is also his energy tonic and increases his body strength. He always tries to steal samosas from a chaiwallah who makes the best samosa in the city. Patlu is more powerful by the brain and has a greater mental ability with which he always rescues him and Motu from all troubling situations and plot. The main antagonist who creates trouble in the, rather peaceful and happy, life of Motu and Patlu is a criminal named “John the Don”, along with his two sidekicks number one and number two. They also bring in comic relief to the whole situation.
History
The cartoon series of Motu-Patlu is produced by Cosmos-Maya and is an adaptation of a classic comic strip on Lot Pot. The show was first aired on 16th of October, 2012 in Nickelodeon and Vasantham. Its first episode was named as “John Banega Don”.
Other supporting characters in the cartoon series are Ghasitaram, Chingam, and Dr. Jhatka who often come to the rescue of Motu-Patlu. Dr. Jhatka is a scientist who tries most of his experiments upon Motu which lands him in trouble. Apart from them, there is Chaiwala, John, Boxer, Bubblegum, Hera Singh and Pheri Lal.
Motu Patlu comic series has also been adapted into film series, so far 10 movies of this series have been released. The theme song for the series is sung by famous Bollywood singer Sukhwinder Singh and the music is written by Sandesh Shandilya. The cartoon series is produced by Deepa Sahi and JS Mehta.
