A hilarious cartoon series of this era

Motu and Patlu is a hilarious cartoon by Cosmo Entertainment with two main characters, Motu who is a fat semi-bald man and Patlu who is slim and fully bald. It is Indian-Singaporean comedy cartoon that is aired on various channels in different languages like English, Hindi, Tamil, Bangla, Sinhala, and Telugu. It is written by Neeraj Vikram, directed by Suhas Kadav and produced by Annu Sikka (Executive producer), Depa Sahi and Anish JS Mehta.The original network of Motu Patlu cartoon is Nickelodeon.These funny characters are basically taken from a comic magazine known as Lot Pot which was published in 1969.In this comic strip Motu and Patlu were shown as brothers doing stupidly funny things. Same is shown in the cartoon which is enjoyed by the kids.Kripa Shankar was the maker of these characters in Lot Pot magazine.

Theme of Motu Patlu

The theme song of the cartoon “Motu Aur Patlu ki Jodi” is composed by Sandesh Shandilya and sung by a well-knew singer Sukhwinder Singh. The very first episode of Motu and Patlu was “John banana don” which was aired on 16 October 2012.The cartoon has 260 number of episodes and 4 seasons.

The cartoon Motu Patlu is about two best friends who live in a fictitious place known as Furfuri Nagaria.Motu likes to eat Samosa which is his favorite snack as it empowers him. He usually steals it from a renowned Chai wala of the city. Because of his crave for Samosa he creates problems which are then redressed by his loving friend Patlu.

Success of characters

 After the success of a number of episodes of the cartoon, other characters were added to it such as Ghasita Ram, Inspector Chingam , John and his friends. The cartoon is not only enjoyed by children as it is also watched and loved by grown-ups.
